What's New
This release makes email flexible: paid organizations can send with their own identity, and self-hosted installs can use any SMTP server instead of a specific provider.
Features
- Custom email sender for paid organizations: on a paid plan, set a sender display name and a reply-to address. Organization emails (like invitations) then show up as "‹Your org› via Road To" and replies go to your inbox.
- SMTP support for self-hosting: transactional emails can now be sent through any SMTP server, so self-hosters no longer need a specific email provider account. The email provider is selected by configuration.
Improvements
- Email sending is fully provider-agnostic: the same templates work through the cloud provider or your own SMTP.
